In this PowerPoint lecture Dr. Farrell discusses the history of astronomy and cosmology citing paradigm shifts that have occurred since Ptolemy. He then proceeds to discuss various hypotheses about the origin of the universe including the popular Big Bang theory and its weaknesses. There are no “proofs” for the Big Bang theory and advocates are constantly having to create band-aids to correct its faults. Dr. Farrell presents and alternative theory which uses the same data as the Big Bang theory but does not violate the laws of physics or require mysterious dark energy.
