As the Property Owners and Residents Association (PORA), we are the primary liaison between our unincorporated community, Maricopa County, the City of Surprise and other municipalities, the State of Arizona, and our federal government.
PORA is committed to fostering good relationships with local state and federal governments. PORA stands ready as the voice of impact. We are dedicated to working with other community entities to support Sun City West to provide a foundation of advocacy.

Intervene and participate in all utility rate proceedings before the Arizona Corporations Commissions (ACC).
Develop a consistent, working relationship with the County Supervisor, Clint Hickman
Meet with SCHOA (Sun City Homeowners Association) Leadership about issues of mutual concern
Develop an ongoing conversation/relationship with school districts
Grow the relationship with legislators pre-session
Maintain relationship with RUCO (Resident Utility Consumer Office)
Participate in meetings with utility company leadership
Continue to develop a relationship with City of Surprise officials
Create a liaison relationship with Congressional delegation
Create and implement a liaison relationship with Fire and Medical Authority
Create and implement a close liaison relationship with Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO)
