2025 Board Election Candidates

Dear PORA members we have two candidate applications accepted for the election to become a Board Member. A third candidate applied but then withdrew on May 13, 2025.

The election will be held on Tuesday, May 20th, Wednesday, May 21st, Thursday, May 22nd between the hours of 9am-3pm.

Reminder: You must be an active PORA member to vote and please bring you REC card for ID.

Below are the bios for each candidate.

Cindy Putman Bio.

Back in the day, I worked as CBS TV art production manager in LA. I have owned my own PR firm, creating press releases, conferences, and political campaigns. I have also been a realtor for 20 years, so I know about property rights and issues.

But I do not want to brag about my body of work. I want to talk about PORA.

PORA is the heart for homeowners in Sun City West. It is the hub for information about our homes, our streets, our water, and government liaisons. It is the visitor’s focal point for what other attractions are around this great community.

PORA answers the questions of Where are my property lines, Who can notarize my will, how to find a vendor I can trust, and who can watch my house. Every single homeowner should be a member of PORA and become aware of all the services available.

I wish to work on the Board and the membership committee.

Tom K Jones Bio.

I have lived in Sun City West for 17 years and have been a member of PORA during that time. My wife, Suzanne, and I have been involved with many of the Board members, volunteers and employees of PORA. My current role as President of PRIDES prompts me to become more active in the community.

Water, Roads and Traffic are two of the committees that are most important to me at this time. Because Sun City West is not a city, we are accountable to Maricopa County and the Recreation Centers of SCW. We are a community without state elected government officials which makes it difficult to keep current with laws that impact Sun City West. Therefore, I believe I can help continue to influence the positive growth and maintain the level of quality living conditions in the community through involvement in PORA.
