The Power of Home Solar

If you own or are buying a home and you have not invested in Solar, then this class is a must. Learn the common mistakes homeowners make with solar panels and dire consequences that can occur. For the seniors who choose wisely, home solar has wonderful financial benefits. Be one of the 68% who make the well‐informed decision. Join this informative, fun class and it will give you the “power” of knowledge.

Oil and Acrylic Painting

This class is for anyone who loves art. If you can write, you can paint with instructor Elaine Katz. She will provide individual attention to each student. Being creative requires a fearless atmosphere and the ability to try new things. It does not matter if you are a beginner or a Rembrandt, Elaine brings out the artist in everyone. Be sure to pick up the list of materials you will need to purchase for this course. There are oil and/or acrylic supply lists.

Power Over Diabetes and Neuropathy
Dr. Scott Timko, Th, 7/15: 9:30AM to 11:30AM
One out of three people have prediabetes! Nine out of ten of these people are not aware they have it! Diabetes is one of the most under‐diagnosed conditions and it is often fatal. Many complications can arise from the development and progression of this disease. Connections have been made to heart disease, strokes, kidney disease, and blindness, just to name a few. The common understanding about diabetes, regardless of type, severity, or level of progression, has always been that it is irreversible. Increasing research, however, has disproved this and offers solutions for both prevention and reversal of diabetes with various lifestyle choices. During this experience, you will finally get the chance to reclaim your health and win the fight against diabetes.

Thinking of Purchasing a Handgun
Paul Horvick, Th, 6/24 & 7/22: 9:30AM to 11:30AM
This class is a “hands‐on” examination of many popular models and styles of handguns. We will examine revolvers and semi‐automatics, so you can make an informed decision on what is best for you! We will review basic safety issues and the fundamentals for proper handling. This class also covers loading and unloading, grip, stance, aiming and trigger control. Next comes the fun part! Using some of the models you have examined, we will load them with laser cartridges. This is a non‐firing (no bullet) 100% safe round of ammunition. The guns will shoot a laser pulse at an electronic target. By doing this you will quickly learn how to safely use several handguns. Since you are “shooting” real handguns, the experience is the same as would be at live‐fire range, except there is no noise or recoil. This is a great way to fine tune your choices before you venture out to the store.

The Autoimmune Matrix
Dr. Scott Timko, Th, 6/17: 9:30AM to 11:30AM
While it is true genes do come into play with autoimmune diseases, we also have control over how our genes are expressed. According to the field of epigenetics, our environment, lifestyle choices, and dietary habits can turn on certain genes. These genes can cause the development of autoimmune complications. Conventional medicine believes the only weapon against autoimmunity are drugs (which only mask the symptoms and suppress the immune system). Research has shown that there are many effective, alternative treatments to consider. Health is represented in different forms such as chemical, physical, and emotional. It is imperative to address all these simultaneously in order to achieve optimal health. Join Dr. Timko to learn how to take control of your health by getting to the root of autoimmunity, addressing deficiencies, and becoming a more active participant in your healing process.
