What does the Cinema Society offer?

Through the Cinema Society you have the opportunity to view seldom seen prestige and award wining movies focusing on great storytelling.  You also get a chance to hear formal introductions before the movie and participate in cinema chats after the movie.  The Cinema Society allows members to meet fellow film lovers and enjoy discovering films with powerful storytelling techniques.

How Can I participate?

Purchase a movie pass (this is transferable, so you may share with friends movies you cannot attend).  There are 6 very special movies beginning with "WHERE I STAND: THE HANK GREENSPUN STORY" on November 19th and running thru April on selected Friday mornings at 10am.

A FREE movie to introduce this special program is scheduled for October 22nd at 10am.  This free movie offer is for the first 200 people only!

The movie scheduled for this showing is "The World's Fastest Indian," based on a true story.  Andy Friedenbert, andy@cinemasociety.com,  introduces the films for this program and will be at the screening on October 22nd.

Price:  Transferable membership admission card is $150 for 6 movies.  If you are unable to attend a movie, you may pass your membership admission card to a friend or share the cost of a card with a friend.  Membership is limited so sign-up today.  Membership forms are available in the lobby of the UltraStar Theaters (corner of Waddell and Litchfield).  For additional information contact 623-374-7022.

Discounted Movie Ticket Deal:

PORA members can purchase discount movie tickets for UltraStar Cinemas for just $6.00 each!  Tickets are good for adults and children any time or day.  Special engagements, 3-D movies, D-Box Motion seats are available for a small upgrade fee.  Visit the PORA office Monday - Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. to purchase your tickets by cash, check or charge.  Ultrastar Cinemas is located at the corner of Litchfield & Waddell in Surprise.
